Shed Building: Walls & Roofing

Shed Building Part III continues with Chris moving the roof trusses and Dadcat preparing to install them.

Earlier in the week Dadcat came over while I was out knitting and Chris was working and did the framing for the windows and installed two of the side walls by himself!

He’s a good man!

This beautiful sunny first weekend we’ve had without rain, the roof trusses and roofing were put up.

and thanks to him, we’re going to have a very well built shed!

Meanwhile Chris helps by holding the ladder, and posing for pictures:

He’s good that way!

I made everyone sammies, packed up my knitting bag and headed out, while the guys put up the trusses and roofing material.

Some walnut tree limbs were sacrificed to make room for the roof.

I would not want to count how many trips to the Hardware Store this little ol’ backyard shed has taken but judging from the number of sacks here, it takes a few.

Let’s just say somebody’s doing a good business!

While the guys labored away in the balmy and beautiful 80 degree weather, Momcat sat inside watching and claimed she was cold!

Altogether a good day, with power saws & equipment, walls, roofing, and a side trip to the lumber yard.
