Puget Island Ferry

view thru ferry rails

We love ourselves a good ferry ride!

Chris drove all the way up to the Puget Island Ferry just so we could ride it back towards Astoria.

It was the opening of fishing season for chinook and steelhead, so the boats were just lined up!

It was a beautiful day to be on a boat, warm, just a slight breeze, blue skies and fluffy white clouds, and boats galore!

this is where we start out, near the town of Cathlamet…

Later on in Astoria, we crossed paths with this ship again, making its way up the Columbia River.

Chris and I took pix of each other:

and I caught him just after he put some candy in his mouth!

Which cracked me up!

all to soon,  the ride comes to its lovely end.   We drive off and continue down the Oregon Coast.
