Making Cookies & Christmas Cards

Yesterday Jeff came over with some unsalted butter, brown sugar and powdered sugar and his mom, Vi.

We parked Mom on the sofa with her knitting and books while we put on aprons and proceeded to make three double batches of cookies in a row.

Two batches of Snicker-doodles, Chocolate Crackles and a Chocolate/Mint Pinwheel that utterly failed as a pinwheel but tasted good all the same.

In between baking, cooling and chilling more dough in the fridge we sat at the table and made cards. Jeff had never done so before, and he had some fun trying out stamp sets for the first time.

He used the Snowman Parts Stamp Set to make these; here is a sense of Jeff’s humor.

and he enjoyed the Winter Tree Scenes Set too.

I added finishing touches to his cards using markers and chalks. Between us, we impressed ourselves!

  1. Wow – I don’t even send Christmas cards. I do bake cookies. This looks like quite the celebration. Those chocolate crinkle cookies are my favorites. Might have to bake a batch. ; )
