This is a view of our “kitchen” through the gazebo screen. I stand in front of the kitchen box which opens up and folds out, and concoct all manner of camp food and goodies. Over time we have perfected our kitchen set-up, so now Chris and I can set it up in mere minutes.
First, Chris puts together the gazebo, then we each take an end and pull it over the picnic table. Then we move the picnic table over so it is centered diagonally across the gazebo, giving me room to stand at the kitchen center and cook. Butane Burner, Coffee Pot, and water jug are set on one side and plates and utensils are set on the other.
Ice Chests are placed on the ground behind me, food box up on table at the opposite end. Chris gets out his stack of word searches and pen and places our insulated coffee mugs next to the coffee pot. He drags in my special knitting chair and sets it up in the far corner. He unpacks the lantern and sets it in the middle of the table.
Sigh. We are ready for anything. Well, anything that involves the eating and drinking of coffee, and sitting around enjoying our favorite camping recreations.
