Mostly Finished UFO

So, I spent about a hundred hours just knitting on that endless brown ruffle all around it, and then tried it on and found out that one sleeve was shorter than the other. So I ripped the sleeve cap back out, re-knit it a little longer, and then never seamed the arm back up. oh yeah, or put on the buttons that I had so carefully picked out to give it the vintage/rustic/boho look I was trying for. Because by then I had gained a lot of weight and it didn’t even come close to fitting.

Is this worse than hanging on to your original size jeans that are shoved to the back of the closet for that “someday” I will fit back into these moment?
