Creatively Dyed Luxury Sock

Squee!!! Lookie what I got in the mail from the Loopy Ewe!
It’s just gorgeous and it feels Yummy too!

This color way is called “Bubble Gum” and I don’t think I will be making socks with it.  I am thinking I want this around my neck and face, something like a cowl or moebious.

If you look in the back there, you’ll see my sock sitting there, waiting for me to get back to it.

Meet Amelie

Amelie is Andy’s (my brother-in-law) niece and Sarah’s (my niece) cousin. Many of us met here for the first time in person when she arrived with the German Contingent. That would be her mom, Cyndia, (Andy’s sister) and her grandparents, Connie and Helga (Andy’s parents). Connie is a nickname for Conrad, just in case you wondered.

Anyway, we finally met Amelie and she is very much like Sarah only a year older, a year smarter and a year longer in the legs. I went over to Melissa’s (my sister) to visit them all and Amelie and Sarah began their own scrapbooks featuring pictures of the two of them together.
At the airport, in the car, at home, at the beach, and wherever else those two have been…it’s all been zealously photographed and well documented.

Celtic Circle Cross ATC’s

Here is one of the evolutions of the Celtic Circle Cross. There are many of them, and it is also called the Wheel instead of Circle.

In the book it symbolizes the Divine Nature of Light and its ever spiraling energy.   The energy goes both to and from itself.   Cool, aye?  In this article it explains more about the rays of light and spokes of the wheel.

Chi Rho ATC

This is personally, one of my favorite symbols,  and one of the favorite cards I did.
Chi Rho is Greek for the first two letters of Christ.
Chi = C
Rho= H

the P shape is the Greek symbol for Chi
the cross or X shape slightly turned is the Greek symbol for Rho

In the book it says this was an early version of the now well known Circle Celtic Cross. It was derived from the Chi Rho symbols.  Even if all you do is just look at the pictures in these links you can see there is alot of variation and interpretation of the Celtic Cross or the Circle Cross.

Muffin’s Birthday ATC

This is the backside of the Tree of Life ATC.  We call our mod, “Muffin” along with many other nicknames, because of the up and coming “Limited Edition Walk the Plank Pirate ATC’s” that our group is going to do for “Talk Like A Pirate Day” which is officially on Sept. 19.

Yes, for Reals! and believe it or not, it was a couple of fellow Oregonians that started the whole thing.

That’s one of the reasons I love my state:D

We are even having a Pirate Festival over at Cathedral Park, check ‘em out.  It’s just the thing to have some fun in your life, and everybody needs some more fun in their lives, don’t you agree?

Tree of Life ATC

The Moderator of the ATC Swap group has a birthday coming up…and while I was in Celtic-theme mode, I went ahead and made up this card for her.

I started with a sticker from K&Co. and the rest just “sprang” up. This one represents the “Tree of Life” theme according to my “Symbolism of the Celtic Cross” book, and is one of the oldest universally known symbols out there.
Every ancient culture has a symbolic “Tree of Life” stories and drawings, beginning with the biblical Garden of Eden and ancient Sumer culture.  See Here for Celtic Tree of Life Info and Here for Judeo-Christian Tree of Life Info.
